It did sound better in JB Hifi although the larger option was far better again.
I’m actually wondering if my speaker is faulty as everybody else’s review seems to glorify this speaker.

It holds the quality in small spaces whereas the Bose is obviously cranked too much in one way to lose the fullness of sound possible. so either enable Bluetooth volume sync (in developer options on older android phones) or open Bose Connect App to set Speaker volume to maximum via slider on bottom (mine was usually set at 80) and adjust the rest via phone volume controls. I’m wanting it up loud to get into the music I like but I can’t have it with Bose. I can hear differences depending on the music chosen but too often music I play sounds terrible and I need to keep the volume down in order to have a sound that is somewhat pleasing. Don’t be close to it if you want it up loud really poor quality listening for when played loud. You have to be careful where you place the Bose otherwise it deflects off what is closest distorting the sound you receive. But! It doesn’t bounce off everything and get distorted like the BOSE does. It also doesn’t have the carrying handle that the SoundLink Revolve+ II has, so it’s less portable. It has an IP55 rating just like the SoundLink Revolve+ II, but it has a 13-hour battery life rather than 17 hours. An old UE Boom (which I paid much less for) which when played up loud maintains great clarity (yes with some less base). The Bose SoundLink Revolve II is a slightly less fancy version of the SoundLink Revolve+ II, and costs 219 USD rather than 329 USD. Sure it has better base sound than the UE Boom. Especially after basing my decision on other people’s reviews.
